Cinco De Mayo (May 5th & 6th)
During this celebration, 4th street comes alive with a large parade along with entertainment, food and vendors. Plenty of other activities abound.
Movies on Heritage Square
Each Friday evening during the summer, bring the family to historic downtown Flagstaff on Heritage Square. There you be able to see a free family movie on a giant screen.
Historic Walking Tours Through Downtown Flagstaff
Flagstaff historians, Richard and Sherry Magum will guide you throughout the historic downtown area. They provide unique information about the history of downtown while in customs from the late 1890s. Learn some fascinating history about Flagstaff. Call 928-774-8800 to reserve a place. These tours take place on Sundays during the summer.
Arizona Snowbowl Scenic Skyride (May 26th-Mid October)
Summertime is the season to see large chunks of northern Arizona as you ride the ski lift to the top and back. An admission is charged. Call the Arizona Snowbowl at 928-779-1951 for hours and pricing. The Skyride is open from Memorial Day Weekend through mid-October right after all the leaves change colors.
Pine Country Pro Rodeo (June 15th-17th)
A top Arizona rodeo, this event is held in the third week of June and is PRCA sanctioned. See this big rodeo at the Coconino county fairgrounds. On Saturday, a large parade decorates Flagstaff.
Coconino County Horse Races (June 30th-July 4th)
Centered around the 4th of July, are the Coconino County Horse Races, June 30th through July 24nd, at Fort Tuthill Downs at the County Fairgrounds. Full Pari-Mutual wagering is the game of the day.
4th of July
The patriotic spirit of northern Arizona is in full bloom. The festive parade winds through downtown Flagstaff that morning. And if the fire danger is low, fireworks rocket up in the evening.
Route 66 Days (September 7th-9th)
Downtown Flagstaff is filled with hot rods and classic cars during the second weekend in September,. These restored vehicles bring much color and festiveness to the downtown area. Downtown and Wheeler Park are filled with vendors selling all kinds of crafts, arts, clothing, food and other goodies. Live entertainment of all kinds is schedule each day.
Arizona Cardinals Training Camp
During July, the giants of the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football league come to Flagstaff for their training camp on the N A U Campus. Practices are open to the public. You’ll geet to see your favorite Cardinal players up close and perhaps secure an autograph.
Coconino County Fair (August 3st-Sepember 3rd)
Held over Labor Day Weekend, the county fair is full of traditions, carnivals, animals, entertainment, food, arts and crafts, vendors and much more. Bring the whole family and enjoy the County Fair at the Fort Tuthill County Fairgrounds, south of Flagstaff at the airport exit on I-17.
Festival of Science (September 21st-30th)
It’s a 10 day event filled with things to do for the family all focused on science. There are hikes and excursions, lectures, in-school presentations, open houses and many other events and presentations all over Flagstaff.
Flagstaff Winterfest
Winterfest is features during all of February. Even when there is no snow, there are plenty of events for the family. Always planned are skiing events, lectures, crafts and art exhibits, art shows, NAU sports and plenty more.
