Museum of Northern AZ
A fascinating day of ancient cultures, natural history and collections of art and historic items awaits you at the Museum of Northern Arizona. With 75 years of it’s own history, the Museum of Northern Arizona preserves and researches the history of the Colorado Plateau.
Each year the Museum showcases special events found in few other places. The Annual Hopi Festival of Arts and Culture, the Annual Navajo Festival of Arts and Culture, the Annual Celebraciones de la Gente, Custom tours, Discovery programs, Ventures programs and other activities to stimulate the mind.
The Museum of Northern Arizona has permanent exhibits to pique your interest.. from Anthropology and Biology to Geology and Fine Arts. There is a complete library on the premises. A photo archives houses approximately 250,000 negatives, photographic prints and other photo sensitive items. Beginning in October, view the work of 75 artists from 14 western states in a celebration of the American West. The Annual Trappings of the American West is one of the more popular events.
The Museum of Northern Arizona is 3 miles northwest from downtown Flagstaff and is open daily from 9am t0 5pm. There is an admission charge.
